Whole-home renovations done right
When the existing home doesn't quite work anymore โ outdated layout, cramped kitchen, dim rooms, no place to gather โ NFG Construction takes it on as a true renovation, not a band-aid. We go past the surface: open up walls, rework the structure, modernize the systems, then put everything back together better than new.
Most of our renovations are gut renovations: drywall comes out, the home goes back to studs, and we rebuild from there. That's how we deliver a finished result that doesn't feel patched together.
What's included in a full renovation
- Full demolition and disposal โ interior strip back to framing
- Structural changes โ load-bearing wall removal, beam installs, opening up floor plans
- New electrical, plumbing and HVAC where needed (with our trade partners)
- Framing, drywall, insulation and weatherproofing upgrades
- All-new finishes โ flooring, tile, paint, trim, cabinetry, stone
- Permits and inspections handled โ we file with the town directly
Why homeowners pick NFG
We're a small Massachusetts crew that runs one or two projects at a time โ not a corporate shop juggling twelve. That means the same lead is on your jobsite every day, the same hands do the framing and the trim, and you're talking directly to the people doing the work.
We also live in this area. Most of our work is within a 30-minute radius of Boston โ Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Wakefield, Reading, Andover and the surrounding communities. If something needs follow-up after the project, we're nearby.
How a renovation project works with us
- On-site consult โ we walk the home, listen to what you want, and talk through what's possible.
- Budget & scope โ we put together honest numbers and a clear scope before you sign anything.
- Design & materials โ we help you pick finishes, fixtures and cabinetry that fit the budget and your taste.
- Build โ we run the project to a schedule, communicate weekly, and clean up daily.
- Walkthrough โ final punchlist with you on-site, then we hand you the keys.
